Libby, Montana
Hi Everyone,

Today we left earlier than usual to beat the heat (7:30) because yesterday was 99 in Bonners Ferry and it was predicted to be 90 in Libby today.

We started by climbing up to the cliffs above the river and then had breakfast at a Mennonite bakery and proceeded on US 2 toward Libby. Nothing eventful happened on the way to Libby although we saw 2 bike tourists going the opposite direction. We did leave Idaho for Montana where the speed limit increased to 70 mph.

The only event of note was that we met a bike tourist camping at the campground across from the hotel who is from Waynesboro, VA who has ridden across the US twice before.

The Statistics: 53.04 miles and 1036 feet climb.

We Re now back on the Adventure Cycling route.
